Voters in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties gave a multibillion dollar roads and transit measure the thumbs down last night. And with the numbers still coming in, both sides are planning their next move. KUOW's Jamala Henderson reports. WHEN SUPPORTERS OF PROPOSITION 1 HEARD LAST NIGHT THAT THEIR MEASURE WAS FAILING, THEY VOICED THEIR DISAPPOINTMENT. PIERCE COUNTY EXECUTIVE JOHN LADENBURG STEPPED UP TO THE PODIUM. HE SAID VOTERS REJECTION OF THE MEASURE WON'T KILL THE DREAM FOR REGIONAL TRANSIT. LADENBURG: "We are going to make this happen it may not be this year, it may not be this month it may not be this election. But it will happen, because its about our future." KING COUNTY COUNCILMAN LARRY PHILLIPS IS ON THE SOUND TRANSIT BOARD. HE SUPPORTED PROPOSITION ONE.
